The interactive map below lets you know exactly when and where you'll have shade on your Grand Canyon adventure, regardless of the date or the time. Just enter a hike (Rim-to-Rim, Bright Angel to Plateau Point, etc.), trail, or landmark (Devil's Corkscrew, Redwall Bridge, etc.) in the search box. You'll then enter the date of your hike in the box at the bottom, and then click or use your finger (on mobile) to change the time of day. Presto! You'll now see how the shade changes on your hike every step of the way, right down to the minute.
